Me and You

Four years ago
My brother took this photo
I remember this moment
Marco was giving our wedding gift to Davide and I was explaining to Diego, about our wedding gift to people: cactus plant in biodegradable pot. And for those who could not attend, we sent out the seeds of one of our favourite flower: sunflower. I said to him: We don’t want to add more rubbish to the world by giving out unnecessary things, we want to plant more plants in this world

I remember everything and I remember nothing
It was blurry
And warm
And beautiful
And intimate
Only me and you and our closest friends and family
No wedding photographer telling us to pose
No wedding organizer telling us what to do
No pre wedding photos
No seat arrangement
No extravaganza cake
Just
Us
We did everything as we wanted it
We didn’t want anyone telling us what to do
I remember I did my own hair
Arrange my own bouquet
And didn’t really wear make up
Wearing an old and comfy pair of shoes
And the dress
It’s not a wedding dress
I just found it in Alexander Mcqueen store
Loved it
And it was
White
I felt that day everything just fell in to places
.
Then, out of the blue
After it had stopped snowing for a month
Only in that particular day
It snowed

I guess
Sometimes
When we just give in to the universe
And don’t really plan too much
Things just happen
Beautifully
